Whitney Carman is a second generation fabricator, owner of Even Keel Canvas, LLC since 2012. Her inspiration is her father Dennis Carman, owner of Vermont Custom Canvas (est. 1972). He had a solution for every problem, and the impossible was his speciality. She didn’t realize at the time how much she was learning or how much possibilities lay ahead in the marine canvas world.

She began her independence training by getting leads in highschool when she was 16. Walking into a restaurant and asking for the manager was effortless. Entering Marina Del Rey, she began building relationships through Scuba Diving, some small repairs, then the boats just kept getting bigger. She returns home to visit her father and help him in his shop and hopes to have a balance of Vermont & California, because time with people you love is the only thing that is truly a priority.
